Bittersweet, now. Turns out people weren’t quite as over themselves as we thought.
MTA Director of Corporate and Community Affairs, Christopher Boylan:
“All of a sudden the word ‘apps’ has become part of the lingo,” [Boylan] said. “We probably wouldn’t be having this conversation six months ago, exactly like this.”
Authority officials readily admit that their Web operations could use sprucing up. “We don’t have a staff that sits around thinking about apps,” Mr. Boylan said.
Still a long way to go.

I’ve made some changes to the font stack. If your system doesn’t have Futura, instead of dropping to Comic Sans, you’ll see the very nice Art Deco font Le Havre, courtesy of TypeKit, so long as your browser has JavaScript enabled and works with TypeKit.
Unfortunately, in my brief testing (because Windows 7 is really slow in VirtualBox) the results in IE are considerably less than optimal. I might be reduced to sIFR at this rate.
Update: Scratch that. I’ve removed the TypeKit JavaScript because it was incredibly slow to load. Back to the drawing board…
